The more I look at Paul Juno’s stuff, the more I fall in love. Crazy how different strokes of acrylic paint can turn into a whole different looking world. A lot of these remind me of textures and close ups from planets or rocks… some flowy, some sciency, some more painterly… each composition has its own feel according on the thickness of the strokes, fludity of the lines and combination of the colors. I love how Juno combines his photography (adding macro shots of his work) because seeing close up shots of paint literally coming out of the canvas provides a whole new expression to the painting. And the one where he uses marbles as a medium is absolutely genius. It’s almost as if the piece of work is inviting the viewer in to join the madness. I aspire to learn these painting techniques because I am absolutely in love!
